چکیده

Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) enables the examination of electrochemical nature electrodes and cells by applying an alternating voltage (or current) measuring resulting current voltage). The resistance capacitance components electrode can be evaluated AC changing frequency. In particular, analysis using equivalent circuit determine important parameters related to reaction electrode, such as charge transfer resistance, electric double-layer capacitance, Warburg impedance. Moreover, internal cell divided into resistances caused positive negative electrolyte. Because these advantages, EIS is a powerful technique used for basic research, in identifying rate-determining step reaction, also applied characterizing devices (e.g., batteries capacitors). this paper, concept impedance, which represents relationship between current, first explained; then, characteristics various elements circuits, are essential understanding EIS, described. Finally, treatments more complex circuits based on transmission-line models (TLMs), represent porous electrodes, presented. Analyses TLMs foundation practical applications because usually devices.

An integrated approach to electrochemical impedance spectroscopy

A philosophy for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy is presented which integrates experimental observation, model development, and error analysis. This approach is differentiated from the usual sequential model development for given impedance spectra by its emphasis on obtaining supporting observations to guide model selection, use of error analysis to guide regression strategies and experi...

Sensing Estrogen with Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy

This study demonstrates the application feasibility of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) in measuring estrogen (17β-estradiol) in gas phase. The present biosensor gives a linear response (R2 = 0.999) for 17β-estradiol vapor concentration from 3.7 ng/L to 3.7 × 10-4 ng/L with a limit of detection (3.7 × 10-4 ng/L). The results show that the fabricated biosensor demonstrates better det...

Reducing Impedance Fluctuation by Electrode Structure for Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy

In this paper, we investigated the electrode structure of the electrical bio-sensor to reduce impedance measurement fluctuation. Five pairs of the same electrodes were formed on the PCB substrate, and a fluidic channel was constructed with a double-sided tape and polycarbonate cover so that all the electrodes had the same reagent distribution. In order to find an electrode structure with little...

Using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy of salicylate anion selective electrode: simulation for behavior of electrode

In this paper, the behavior of the salicylate anion-selective electrode was studied using the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy technique. Considering the diagram of the charge transfer resistance and -logarithm of the double layer capacitance versus -logarithm of the concentration, linear range concentration increased to 1.0×10^{-8}-1.0×10^{-1} M and 1.0×10^{-9}-1.0×10^{-1} M, respectivel...

Development of galvanostatic Fourier transform electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.

Here, we report development of the galvanostatic Fourier transform electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (FTEIS), which monitors impedance of electrochemical reactions activated by current steps. We first derive relevant relations for potential change upon application of a step current, obtain impedances theoretically from the relations by simulation, and verify them with experimental results....
